This guy is 3 years younger than me. We matched on hinge. I was annoyed he couldn’t even type words and the texting conversation was boring so I stopped texting back. But his car broke and he had a rough week yesterday. My mind says don’t waste my time but my ego says he is cute and 6’5 so go for it! I could always turn down if the date doesn’t go well.

I've gotten myself into a bunch of troubles just by thinking that I can always bow out. I wouldn't rely on future you to reject someone that present you can't reject now.
A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
What gives me pause is how he said: "would you want to go on a date with me ever?"
That sounds like you're an option or he doesn't care
From these messages alone he seems reasonable and respectful. If it were me, I’d go on a date but remain impartial and block and delete at the first sign of red flag behaviour. Good luck!
I feel like as long as you don’t sleep with guys and stay in observer mode you can meet the guy. Just do not get sexually involved and see who he is and if he has intentions to be serious and execute. It does take some time to see what a person is like unless they are bad upfront.
I can’t see past weekekdn.
It is not that bad.... to me if his car broke down and he had to find some rapid solution for every day life, having space for anything else may have been a little difficult. But it is up to you. I would drop him in my scrotation and depending on what kind of date he suggests then if I'm in the mood I may check what this guy is about.
He’s already making excuses for his behaviour. I feel like he’s the kind of guy to take you on a rubbish date and not pay.
You already told him it's not gonna work, I think you should stick with it.
Do you want to go on a date with him ? And for what purpose ? For a relationship ? Or just to have his attention ? Because if it is just for your ego "ahaha i can totaly have a date with this cute tall guy", it is not worth it. IMO, you have already told him things are not going to work well so I cannot think of any reason on why 1. He is still trying to get you out for a date (makes me think he may not value what you are telling him if it does not fit into his plan) 2. You still want a date with him. Do you still wish for a relationship with him ? Then why did you tell him it is not going to work ? I may be wrong as I don't know you but the whole situation leads to think that you are prioritizing this man's attention over your own, and especially over what you desire and wish for.
