They're sooo annoying! You could be on a crochet site and a man will be like... "Are men allowed here 🥺?"It's attention-seeking behavior.
Years ago when I was still on Facebook, I had a very active online community of people I knew in real life and who were a great resource when I needed to pick brains.
One week I wrote 2 posts - one for men and one for women, seeking each group's perspective on an issue. I don't even remember what it was, but probably how each group is socialized or lives in the world, you know?
I explicitly requested "men only pls" or "women only pls" for each post's responses.
Guess which group couldn't follow basic directions?
The women didn't reply to the men's post, because they respected my request and (as several ladies told me later in private) what the hell did they know of men's lives so why would they try answering the question?
Meanwhile at least a dozen men replied to the women-only post. I had to keep reminding men of the rules and butting them out of the conversation. One guy - a classmate I'd known for years - flipped his shit and blocked me. The trash took itself out.
The biggest lessons I took from this experiment:
1) Men are entitled and think they're above the rules.
2) Men genuinely think they're experts on women's lived experiences.
3) Men take women's boundaries as a personal insult.
4) Men invade women's spaces.
Craziest part is that afaik, none of these guys were in any of the toxic male cults that are so rampant these days (redpill etc). They were just a random bunch of dudes in my extended network going all the way back to high school.
EDIT:
Oh, I remember the topic now! I was asking people for the books that made the biggest impact on their identity growing up.
Literally, "What were the book(s) that had the biggest influence on who you are today as a man/woman?"
MEN RESPONDED TRYING TO ANSWER THIS ON BEHALF OF WOMEN!! THIS IS HOW STUPID AND PRESUMPTUOUS LVM ARE!
Men agree with women's right to our spaces in theory

Whenever I'd go on that subreddit I'd mainly get replies by men as well, its why I dont go on it anymore. Men also always reply to questions asked of women on askreddit.
Pretty sure all the womens subs are run by men. I stopped going to them with the exception of fourthwave women. I'm not super versed in the feminism waves, im still learning the difference between libfem, radfem, femcels, etc

Femcels - isn't that just a misogynistic slur for "ugly" women? Sounds like something an incel would say to break a womens confidence and lower her boundaries to get sex.
Pretty much. Women can't be incels anyway. Self-proclaimed incels even said so years ago when the word first became popular, because it served them to be seen as victims deserving of pity and validation.
(Women still can't be incels though, so they weren't wrong on that front.)
Today the discourse has changed and men have started using the term against any woman with standards or feminist beliefs. They've been doing this ever since women started advocating for their rights generations ago, so this isn't new. Same shit, new nomenclature.
But it's telling that men think not getting laid is the worst insult they can think of. Literally, THAT is their biggest fear and therefore the worst insult they can endure. Must be nice living in such a world.

Men have been living in peace and privilege for the longest time that the slightest "rejection" is perceived as discrimination to them....that's what happens when the male gender gets coddled to oblivion and don't go through any form of oppression or subjugation...

Reddit is known to be a breeding ground of scrotes, and I mean both the normal & the mentally ill ones.
I once went to the "men writing women" subreddit which is supposedly a "pro woman" subreddit that points out how men write misogynistic & male gazey tropes of women in books, movies and in the media. I went to it for the first time hoping to see anti-misogynystic content, only to be met with more misogyny...I scrolled down and the first pinned post that appeared on there was....can you guess it? It was a post shitting on "TERFS" 🙄 and how "TERFS" weren't allowed on there, and the comment section was a dumpster fire full of woman-wannabes and pickmes shitting on women for simply daring to acknowledge the simple biological fact.
It didn't pass a minute me being on that shit sub, and I was out there so fast your head would spin. Fuck Reddit.
I mean Reddit is trash and full of men, so it should be no surprise that of that segment a lot of them are the chronically online "nice guy" kind, not just straight up misogynistic NEETs. They always have to interject "as a man" on a thread where a woman is dealing with a grievance or say "if this happened to my wife I wouldn't stand for it!" type of post. THEN DEMONSTRATE THAT TO OTHER MEN AND VOTE AND ACT ACCORDINGLY, ASSHOLES.
Yeah... I finally left the last community I followed there because it has been overrun with men and the majority of posts are either selfies of men cosplaying as women, versions of "Are men allowed here? Are men who identify themselves as *insertrandomnewtrendygenderidentity* allowed here?" and hate on anything they perceive as even remotely "TERF"-like which ironically (especially if we take the sub's name into account) quickly turns into witch hunts with no discussion even possible. It was fun and had nice content in the past but no more. Another former women's space taken over by scrotes and pickmes.
