Here I am minding my own business I went to the store to get some crisps and a drink to watch a movie. Some scrote was looking at the drinks in the cooler and I walked passed him to the counter, I placed my stuff and he came standing next to me placing his drink on the counter too, I gave him a sideways glance but said nothing I was like “Corona time is over so It’s no big deal”
He pushed his drink further towards the cashier who scanned and placed my stuff only in the bag and then he finally spoke. He said “Can you pay for me?”
I said ”No thanks” and left the store.
I felt my blood boil, so much disrespect. How hard is it to greet me first with a simple “ Hello Ma’am I don’t have enough pocket money, can you help me with some spare change?” Would have made me drop my guard and agree.
Its very obvious that he doesn’t think that respect should come before his request when it comes to strangers he never met. I can’t believe he tried to trick the cashier and pretend that we are together.
Ridiculous. Thanks to FDS I know all about their manipulative tactics.
What a golddigger.
I stopped going to a very conveniently located supermarket near the train station because homeless people would try to pull this shit there all the time. They tried to guilt you into paying for them, sneak their stuff (mostly booze and cigarettes) between yours and then go "oh, don't pack mine!" after you are already through the register or straight up try to steal from your bags or guilt you into giving them something you bought after you have paid.
The store security did nothing because they thought banning homeless people would be bad publicity. Apparently they are less afraid of losing the actually paying customers.
EDIT: and before someone asks: I live in a country with a very good social security system. If someone is homeless here it is because of addiction or mental health issues and/or the absolute refusal to cooperate with any of the people trying to help them.
I'm telling y'all! The 50/50 bullshit has now become 0/100!!!!
I was standing in the salad line at Cosi in DC on my lunch break many years ago, and this homeless guy came up to me and said he was very hungry and would I buy him lunch? So I said sure, order what you want, and I'll pay for it. He then balked and said he wanted to eat at McDonald's and that I needed to give him the money. Fucking clown. I just told him he's obviously not very hungry and to take a hike.
The audacity
I wouldn't have agreed no matter HOW he asked. Fuck these broke gold digging losers!
Noooooooo
Just curious Pushi, about how old was this guy?
