So there's a new dating app called "pure" and apparently it encourages "communicating standards"?
Is this the FDS effect? lol.
Anyway, we FDSers know there are certain things you don't show your hand about. Keep your standards to yourself and simply "next" anyone who doesn't meet them. Thoughts?
I also don’t think this marketing will attract hvm who are “ pure in their intentions “ and on the contrary it will let women’s guards downs and easier for men to use and manipulate us
Dancing in my underwear isn’t my communication standard.
Lol yeah no.
Why is she getting dressed and undressed and talking about a dating app
Ex Pure user here. Let me break it down. It’s a casual dating hook up site that promotes openness around kinks and fetishes etc. Interestingly, the women don’t pay for this app but the men do, LOL. This extends to men being able to buy ‘gifts’ to get direct access to your inbox. Nothing says romance like a £1.99 digital cocktail, hey ladies?! Pros - I liked it in the sense that when I *was* seeking casual encounters people were upfront. No one is on there to find a wife so it’s a level playing field. Yes you’ll see scrotes, but at least they’re not promising love and commitment because, y’know, it’s Pure. -because of the above, it’s fairly easy to rapidly block/delete/hide any shady stuff that screams red flag Cons -you’ll see men with more red flags than a communist party. Every oddity is laid bare: CNC, DDlg, dom/switch scenarios, cheating husbands. BUT you can nope past them, block, delete, hide. I think there’s some value to seeing this upfront. At least you don’t have to go on three dates to find out the guy has a rape fantasy. They put it in their bios -the app lends itself to unsolicited pictures and Pure seems to be a little… fluid in what they consider inappropriate. For instance, my gym pic wasn’t allowed but there is a lot of grey area when it comes to certain photos that do pass the test. I haven’t used Pure for some time. In early autumn it was pure entertainment for me but I would say it has its place on the ‘one to avoid’ list for obvious reasons: as much as it’s pro standards it’s also pro fetish and pro casual. HOWEVER, it also has its place in allowing you to vet men who you’d consider a casual sexual relationship with at scale. Stay safe out there x
Nah
⌨ Another dating app where women are? Check! ✔
Hey, OP, I think you forgot to put this in your post:
FFS! Another sex based dating site!?!
BORING!
What happened, their other website get shut down for sex trafficking!?!
It would be refreshing to see even just ONE dating site, a genuine one!
I refuse to be a commodity for a website to make money off or leave myself open for all types of abuse while not getting paid compensation or therapy for my trauma from them.
Zero protection already.
And plenty of sites to check if your partner is cheating , women don't need more of same to wasting her time and push her life goals further away.
I'm not sure what to think of the woman promoting it either. I get high pickme vibes from her. She said that she doesn't want external validation, yet her whole instagram is full of it, if you ask me. I like that she is showing how bodies actually look like, instead of the photoshop but I also feel the pickme vibes.
It’s a hookup app not a dating app
