I've been watching the UK's version of Love Island and right now, the contestants have just gone through the biggest challenge the show gives them which is called Casa Amor. In the show, everyone stays in the main villa but when the challenge of Casa Amor comes, either the men or the women are moved to another villa which is called Casa Amor, where they meet people that are brought in to test them. The people that stay back in the main villa have people come in to test them too.
In this year's season, the women were taken to Casa Amor and new guys were brought in to meet them while women were brought into the main villa to test the men. The whole essence of the challenge is to see if the original contestants find that they click more with people brought into Casa Amor or with the people they were originally coupled up with. At the end of the Casa Amor challenge, everyone gets a chance to either stick with the person they were paired with or couple up with the new person that has been brought in.
One woman on the show, Paige, was paired up with a guy called Jacques. Paige got to know the new guys in Casa Amor but told them that she was interested in Jacques and wouldn't pair up with any of them. Jacques however was like a kid in a candy store. He was one of the most excited to have new women come in and didn't waste time flirting with and kissing two new girls. He went for a lady called Molly who was confident and jokey. He left her for another lady called Cheyanne and said that he felt that Molly was too "out there" and felt that as she could keep up with him (in terms of joking with him, kissing him back and having her legs wrapped around him in the pool when they went swimming) she's probably "like that with other guys". Jacques goes on to kiss Cheyanne and gave her the impression that he'd couple up with her and dump Paige. Cheyanne is quiet and more reserved so I could see why Jacques went for her. If you watch the show, you'll see that he likes passive women who let him walk all over them.
The time came for everyone to pick a new person or stay with their original partner. When it was Jacques' time to pick, he went for Paige and completely left Cheyanne in the dust. You could see how hurt Cheyanne was but she got a chance to expose Jacques to Paige when Paige returned to the main villa. Paige was shattered and called Jacques out on his behaviour. Jacques said that he really liked Paige and "didn't really know" why he messed around with Cheyanne. Bear in mind that Paige doesn't still know that Jacques was also flirting and kissing Molly.

This brings me to ask these questions: Why do men cry and say that they care, despite cheating? Can they really cheat and like or love us? Surely, if you really care for someone and feel that nothing is missing, you won't look outside your relationship, right?
What do you ladies think? Do any of you watch the show or the US version? Please let me know! I'd love to get a discussion going about this.
My first thought is that a lot of these men thrive from ego boosts. Majority of them are insecure and unhappy with themselves so they feel like they need constant validation from other women to prove that they are desired. It’s disgusting.. Men will have a great woman and claim to “lOvE hEr So MuCh” but still cheat. It’s honestly bullshit. It’s important to find a partner that values you over their ego, if that makes sense.
Also to add, a lot of these men don’t really “like” women. They believe we should be consumed and discarded of when they feel like it. They don’t see us as human beings, only flesh.
Never watched this show, but to answer your question, no. If he is that willing to flirt with, be intimate and hang out with other women--he is still looking. Then again, the way this show is set up, it doesn't seem like people are in it to be exclusive any way. What caught me off guard a bit was him accusing Mollie of being "too available." Men like him are jokes. If she was playing it cool, he'd accuse her of being frigid and not really into him. On top of that, he is still looking and considering his options, so what the heck does he expect? The women he's hooking up with not to do the same? If it's a free for all, the women will be doing their share of feeling the men out too.
He has that nasty smirk and the tongue that is chronically hanging out, which tell me that he is a walking STD bag.
This show seems exhausting, scripted and stupid tbh
I hate the "I don't know" excuse so much.
