Ladies, if ure looking to make friends, join hobby groups, it totally works! So I've been joining this pilates studio from late 2021. I hop class a lot depending on what's most convenient for me but started attending this morning class semi regularly and met a new friend. This lady is super well travelled and well read, with the most interesting job one could wish for. She essentially embodies the fabulous single aunt archetype. We would chat after classes regularly and she asked me out to coffee which ended up being brunch. Had such a great time!
Takeaway: being consistently present and open in the community allows you to make new friends without chasing.

This is something I'm interested in working on. Hobby groups are really great, attending shared activities on a regular basis is what can make friendships - proximity and repeated interactions.
