I just found this article and it made for interesting reading! Apparently a new study has found that 'by their 50s, male bodies are as much as four biological years older than females of the same age'. Furthermore, 'the gap is apparently evident in younger men and already exists in men in their 20s'.
So there's scientific evidence that men age like spoilt milk.
Looks like all of our concerns that men our age are looking terrible were well founded! Not surprisingly, the fact that women on the whole take better care of our health is likely to play a role.

I remember being told my whole life that it is impossible to learn a new language after age 40. That the human brain just isn’t capable of it. Then I learned about an English woman who learned her first foreign language at age 62. She learned Japanese (the hardest foreign language for native english speakers to learn) well enough to move to Japan and get by. I really think all these “impossible after age 40” are based on men alone, and that women have a much longer mental life span. Any why not? We already have a longer physical life span; why shouldn’t our brains match?
Men don't live as long as women on the average. Therefore, they don't age as well. Once again, it's always males projecting their issues and problems onto women so that women get confused and accept substandard male behavior. They want to keep the world where they're in control, and part of that is keeping women down.
Society ignores and invalidates the stress men bring to women's lives. It has normalised abuse. Men's treatment should be talked about as a baseline. Always. So it's never forgotten in each generation.
There was a sort of financial protection called breach of promise and a man could be sued for promising marriage kids and a life together then not following through on his responsibility.
A woman may have used this financial compensation for therapy but women today cannot even do that.
There's zero compensation for emotional abuse, and physical is only recognised in courts.

Why are men so ugly nowadays? I can find 20+ attractive women for every slightly attractive guy. The ratio is probably even more disparaging actually.
I can’t even work out mens ages any more, so many of them look so rough. We recently went for dinner with a friend of my boyfriend who is nearly 60 and I’d have honestly guessed he was 50. I suppose he does look his age, it’s just so many men that age hit the wall so long ago they’re now desecrated.
