Please use this post to recommend guests you really want FDS to interview. I will start.
Vanessa Van Edwards of the science of people for insights to succeed in nonverbal communication in the workplace and beyond. Her material is life changing.
Who else do the queens want to hear from?
Dr. Ramani.
she explains narcissistic abuse tactics and helped me a lot before fds to learn how to spot red flags and such. I feel like she really breaks it down well. I know they already had Lundy Bancroft but I think her perspective on abusive men would also be helpful to hear.
Laila Mickelwait (my absolute number 1 request), Meghan Murphy, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
Can’t think of anyone else at the moment but I will update my comment if I do.
Jo Robertson! She has an amazing Ted Talk about the porn industry Not a guest recommendation, but I'd REALLY love to hear the Queen's thoughts on Body Positivity. I'm in the fitness space and have really been struggling with understanding and verbalizing my thoughts around this, and I'd love to listen their perspective ♥️
Margaret Neale who is a Stanford professor on Behavioral economics who specializes in negotiations. Her work is also incredible.
Deborah Cooper
Meghan Murphy!
Elly Arrow, Laura Bates and Robin Morgan.
Chump Lady - Tracy Schorn.
Dr. Dina McMillan of the Unmasking the Abuser podcast.
Sandra L. Brown, MA of the Institute for Relational Harm Reduction
Dr. Laurie Santos from the Happiness Lab podcast. A lot of FDS is about avoiding harms, but it would be nice to have an episode on things we can do to actively increase our happiness when single.
Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, author of why do so many incompetent men become leaders? (And how to fix it). His work on addressing the leadership opportunity gap between men and women is also life changing. Stacey Vanek Smith, author of Machiavelli for Women, she worked for NPR as a journalist as well. Her book gives incredible information on how to overcome the office politics dilemmas that are uniquely female problems.
Sara Mcdougal. She has a website on abuse and trauma recovery.
I posted her article here. And a lot of people enjoyed it.
