This is for the girls who don't wanna spend more than 5 mins on their daily makeup. Here's how I place my makeup when I'm in a rush and have less than 5 mins.
If you need it, concealer. Personally I don't really use it because I feel like having a little bit of eye bag can actually make you look prettier.
Bronzer. Make sure to get a high quality bronzer so you don't end up orange or dirty looking, it's really important to get one that looks good on YOUR skin and matches what your natural 'tan' color would be. I personally use the Gucci bronzer. Duck face and put it where the hollows are, then bring it up a little, throw some on your forehead and some on your jaw line. I like to do a 3 shape on both sides of my face as a general rule of thumb
Blush. Put some blush on your cheeks. If you don't know what that means, smile and see which part of your face gets lifted the most and put it here. Remember, it's daily so don't put too much on and make sure that your blush color looks how your natural 'flushed' color would look.
Highlighter. Put this on your cheek bones, make sure to use a natural looking one based on your skin color. A good way to figure out where to put this is to stand under your indoor lights, see where the light hits on your cheeks, and place it there.
Mascara or lash extensions. I use mascara because I don't feel like I have the time to upkeep lash extensions anymore, but if you really hate taking off eye makeup then I'd just get lash extensions. Top and bottom.
Get a lighter shade of eye shadow based on your skin tone, and throw a little in the corner of your eyes to brighten them. Low effort, looks good, and makes you look like you put in more effort than you did. Don't go overboard with it.
Contour your nose a little if you need, no advice here other than look up a youtuber with a similar nose shape.
That's it. I do this whenever I need to throw on makeup and I don't have time to watch a tutorial or do a full face. I hope this can help someone with general placements of their makeup next time they have to do their makeup in 5 mins or less.
I also find that filling in your eyebrows makes a difference.
This is not 5 minutes at all. I take 5 min to apply sunscreen, powder and mascara. And that’s it for the day.
Does foundation go without saying or do you recommend skipping it? Can you even use concealer without foundation?
And which corner do you put the eyeshadow on?
I have zero makeup knowledge here, I can't guess 😅
Love this! My go to look takes about 10-15 mins so if you have slightly longer, I go the Rihanna droplit glow mixed with a liquid highlight which I use as foundation, or sometimes I use a skin tint. Then I colour correct real quick (ya gal is brown and has some hyperpigmentation) under the eyes and around the mouth, then concealer to brighten. I use a lot of blush bc I do the sun kissed look in summer, so I basically just swipe the Nars cream blush stick across the top of my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose and blend blend blend. I use a cream contour stick very lightly as I already have a slim nose and high cheekbones, and then I go ham on the liquid highlight bc I love that glow! I do lightly powder my undereyes to set the concealer, then a gloss on the lips. If I have time, I’ll do the reverse cat eye but I suck at eyeliner so I avoid as best I can.
A good tinted moisturiser is better than foundation imo
This is super useful! I always wondered what bronzer, highlighter etc was for and how you'd end up using it. The eye shadow tip is useful too. I usually go with a good face cream first, followed by a bit of eyebrow filler. Then I use some concealer if the hereditary dark circles have made an appearance overnight. Sometimes it's nice to do a bit extra for special occasions though.
Concealer & mascara do the trick for me on a work day. If I don't work- I don't wear makeup generally haha. Foundation, blush & lipstick only for a special occasion. I use my lipstick as blush these days. I've never gotten to the point of finding highlighter, bronzer, contour, eyeshadow etc to be worth the time.
I've got hooded eyelids so I don't wear eyeshadow. I use mascara, brows, and concealer. I also wear some lip stain because I feel naked without it. But because I wear a mask all day I would suggest sticking to the eyes if you've only got five minutes 😂
For me 5 mins is eyeliner, mascara and lipstick, if i have another min then bb cream!
I honestly have no clue how to do makeup. I only ever put any on, on picture days at school, then washed it off. Always felt like I was missing out but it also breaks my very sensitive skin.
