Yes, it is hilarious indeed! Also, Thappad is another of my favourite. It's a good film on respecting your boundaries and not letting any man tread on them.

The Great Indian Kitchen too, definitely watch it if you haven't yet. Man there's some really good stuff in Indian cinema which gets overshadowed cuz of scrotey producers and public.

It's kinda sad that there are so few Bwood movies that are FDS aligned. I blame my ex-pickme behaviour on Bwood and Disney omg. There's this beautiful Marathi Movie called Gulaabjaam that might be FDS aligned, but I'm coming from this space of being very new to FDS and to critical analysis.

That's because we live in a society, where Indian men go gaga over movies like Kabir Singh....and if there isn't atleast one item song with scantily clad women dancing and vulgar lyrics, they'll flop it like anything.

It's scary, how much men fantasize about abusing women. One of my male relatives works at a great govt company- quite prestigious. The people who get in there have to be quite privileged and well educated. He told me that the youngsters idolize Vijay Devarakonda because of that film (the South Indian version). It honestly sent chills up my spine. I shiver to think that I studied and acquainted myself with these men, who harbored such thoughts about women. We know intellectually of course, how much men hate women- but to see it for real never becomes less scary. They imagine themselves as those terrible male characters- make no mistake. It's an immediate red flag for me, if a guy enjoys typical B'wood movies and south films (which are now getting glorified, surprise, surprise, because b'wood these days is making few progressive, women centric themed films).
