My sister-in-law works 12-hour shifts 5 days a week. Sometimes she brings her 2 year-old-daughter to work with her so my brother can get his “work” done (harvesting marijuana for his illegal grow operation). On days when she doesn’t bring her to work, he puts her in a playpen in the “shade” of the hot sun while he trims his plants. But he also plants flowers! (In an attempt to thwart any potential investigations onto his property- “What do you mean, officer? I’m just a humble gardener.”) He doesn’t make much money off his hobbies (let’s face it, that’s all they are); hence the extra hours for his wife. But he cooks! (Then she does the dishes, cleans up the house, and does the laundry, too).
Superdad! Everybody cheer Superdad! It’s all over Facebook- the selfless sacrifices he makes for his dear daughter. Two years ago he even considered giving up his weed business altogether, as cops were cracking down on these operations all around him. He’s already been to jail and juvi; plus, CPS doesn’t exactly love when children are surrounded by joint butts and unregistered weapons (which he needs to guard the plants!) Anyway, he CONSIDERED giving it up, especially because his wife gave him an ultimatum. But then he decided to keep doing it, and she just went with it, so: Superdad!

I'm done with the enabling. This is a full-grown man who hasn't shaved or trimmed his hair in years. He rarely showers. He can't last 6 hours without several bong rips and heavy doses of Kratom, and you better believe he drives his sweet daughter while under the influence all. the. time. He's a freaking mess who is prone to go into fits of rage over the tiniest of disagreements (mainly, people not worshipping him, as he thinks we all should).

Do it. I think that kid is at risk being around drugs all the time, likely inhaling that smoke. Poor thing is going to be socialised to be a stoner from a young age. I know some FDSers here use cannabis and that’s their business, but drugs are drugs. They come with risks and should not be around infants. If I were you, I would give the po-po an anonymous tip off. Contact her! Who knows your support could be the final push for her to take action, since the rest of the family seems to enable his behaviour. Sometimes all it takes is someone to take her side, someone who can see through all the BS. If she doesn't take up your offer, at least you tried to save her.
