Usually I think body positive people are just producing thirst traps with a little more mental gymnastics, but this person seems genuine. I've never actually seen content like this posted anywhere. I'm Indian and I'm aware that we're prone to more mid-section weight and the diseases that come with it (e.g. diabetes) at lower body weights, thanks ultimately to colonialism https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/south-asian-health-colonial-history_uk_620e74fee4b055057aac0e9f
Because there's basically 0 representation of desis in media, the only time I've seen bodies that look like mine are in weird extremely amateur porn involving desi women (LMFAO how sad - this was when I was an impressionable teenager who was curious about porn).
It's actually super weird seeing it on someone else (let alone someone who's not desi herself).
EDIT: Also, I used to be one of those "maybe we should just stop emphasizing women's bodies altogether" people, but I'm wondering now if that's a bit like advocating for colour blindness in a world that's characterized by racial inequity. IDK.
I guess her content does help some women with their body issues, but actually looking more into her stuff, I'm more convinced they are thirst traps. She has photos emphasizing her abs and round butt. She's not actually chubby, but takes "body positive" photos after she eats food and/or gets into an unflattering pose.
The impression I got from those is that she was showing people to what extent ig photos with giant butts were probably fake. That being said, given your username I'm just gonna agree with whatever you say. Why are FDSers so based?
She's trying to appear to be criticizing IG thirst traps as fake, but she has visible abs in several photos. Even with flattering lighting and posing, a woman with a gut will not have visible abs.Her "normal" body pics seem more fake than her fit body pics.
I wish there was less focus on women's bodies in general. Even though this IG is supposed to be body positive, I don't like the focus on her body in underwear/ thong swimwear. She may not have the "perfect" body, but she's still closer to conventionally attractive than conventionally ugly and some of those pics look like thirst traps.
I think this pic specifically seems to be saying it's important for "normal" bodies to be considered desirable too. Desired by who? I'd prefer a different message, like it's ok if your body doesn't fit today's ideals. No underwear photo needed..

Imagine if we grew up seeing bodies like this celebrated and totally normalized. I think it would make a difference in how we see ourselves and each other.
That's a healthy looking body and should be desirable by men with a functioning member. But our society is too f-ed up and women "should" look malnourished to be deemed "sexy"
Any guy who can't handle a woman's normal body shape isn't worth it.
Whatever your body shape is, he better appreciate it. Whether it's tall, short, heavyset or not, he better be into it. If he's not? He ain't the one. If he doesn't like you from day one, he never will. Guys are into allllll body shapes, find the one that matches you.
not one to pay attention to beauty ideals and whatnot but i admit that seeing a rise in real body positive images in social media has boosted my self-confidence. also, love that tattoo on her.
When I had IG I used to follow beauty false and it actually shows pictures of all celebrities, influencers without photoshop, Facetune etc. it had a huge number of following.
She’s cool

This is basically my shape, except with more pendulous, top-heavy breasts. Makes me look apple-shaped and I get so frustrated!
