I've seen people advise how when you have a crush on a guy, it's better to flirt with other men than him. Maybe this will make the guy want to pursue you as many men like "popular" women or you'll end up with another guy who is better than him. While some of these men you have crushes on will really pursue you due to this reason (or similarly, they will start pursuing you after discovering you got hired as a model or something like that), are these men dateable? If they were really that into you, they would have pursued you before other men signal their interest in you. I can't help but think these men are looking for a trophy SO as opposed to love.

FDS advises women not to waste time and energy crushing on guys who haven’t made the effort to deliberately pursue you. So FDS would not encourage flirting with other people just to make a man notice us because then we’re placing him on a pedestal and indirectly trying to pursue him. You’re right, if he likes you he’ll make it abundantly clear without the need for shenanigans.
If you have to ask if a man is dateable, the answer is no.
I think those women confused having a rotation, with trying to get LVM jealous.
there is no specific step on what to do once the man passes the initial pursuit as it depends on each situation. the main thing to keep in mind is to constantly vet and never let your guard down. there's no need to speculate on why the man is interested if he chooses to pursue you; your focus should be on what you should be doing once he clears each hurdle, and how to safely extract yourself if he crashes into a hurdle then blames you for it.
I am curious about everyone’s opinions on this too. I find for me, that if a man I think is cute then flirts with another woman in front of me, it turns me off. I refuse to compete with another woman, and if he’s that easily swayed away from me, he’s not into me. I would expect the kind of guy I want to dislike me with playing him and also dislike if I do the same. If a guy only wants me if other guys do, he wasn’t that into me in the first place. He wants to beat the other men to win me as a prize.
