I was out walking here in Texas and saw a bull in the pasture. He was lying next to his calves whilst their mothers grazed off in the distance. The bull noticed me, stood up, and went to stand right over his newest, most vulnerable calf that was born last night. Any questions on how the male is supposed to act? Protect and provide. Every day, this bovine leads his girls and calves to the pond to drink and to the new grass to graze. He'd protect his calves with his life. If the human male you're seeing or married to doesn't do the bare minimum that a bull in the pasture would do, why are you with him? Nature makes the males prove themselves worthy to have their genes passed on. Just a good example to see that my local bull is more responsible and serious than almost every man who's ever asked me out. Don't settle for less.

Reading this warmed my icy, icy heart. Absolutely spot on, humans dropped the ball somewhere. We’re meant to be more intellectually evolved than animals, yet they have better standards than humans…
this is so adorable!
My weird hobby is breeding a pretty rare bird and - at least in this species - bird dads are absolutely HV. They build the nest alone, defend it, take turns sitting on the eggs with the hen and bring the hen food when its her turn to sit on the eggs. They also take turns feeding the nestlings so the hen has time to eat, stretch her legs and rest without annoying babies around. As soon as the chicks have left the nest, the males take over feeding, guarding and teaching them completely, so the hen can rest and recover before the next brood. She still stays with the family and cuddles with them but childcare is 100% the male's job from the moment the babies leave the nest.
You know its bad when a bird with a less-than-pea-sized brain can do better than most human males.
HVB 😂
Awww 😍
I stan this absolute KING
Roosters will attack you if you come close to the female hen and her chicks. Yet male humans are incapable of defending their offspring.
