This is my first time being on here. A big thank you for the info about Matthew Hussey. He had a really cringy video on YT recently that seemed a bit redpillish. I ended up unsubbing from his YT page.
I need your opinions on the following dating/relationship gurus.
Mark Rosenfeld-he's from Australia and his videos have been good so far. However, he recently went on Valuetainment for a video podcast and post a short on YT that seemed like he was blaming women for a man cheating. I am starting to wonder if he's starting to go down the Red Pill worm hole.
Mat Boggs-his YT videos are good and seems like he does not subscribe to the Red pill crap.
Jonathan Aslay-he is for us old heads (40+) and has called out the Red Pill. He's recommends women read "Why Men Love Bitches", which I just brought the book yesterday.
I feel like a lot of dating coaches give bad or vague advice so that you end up confused or in bad situations... then you turn to them again for more advice, then signing up for courses, then buying all their books. It’s a cycle and a trap, turning coaches like Hussey into "gods of wisdom" but really they're just trying to profit off your confusion/insecurities.
The best “dating coaches” are the FDS Handbook, FDS-approved books, this forum and your gut instinct 😉.
I want a relationship so I read about decentering men, boundaries and self-esteem building. The women I know who seem to have great relationships (from the outside) have healthy self- esteem and careers they love.
Most dating gurus prey on women’s insecurity and ignore that most men are “bad faith” actors. 💡Women are their target market so we learn communication while men study how to manipulate us for sex.💡
Also, sadly, all women who date need to learn how to vet to avoid abusive men.
Great that you bought why men love bitches. I also would recommend ALL books Greg Behrendt has EVER written, especially the audiobooks because he's so funny. he's just not that into you/it's just a f*cking date/maybe he's just an @sshole/it's called a breakup because it's broken.
The audiobook Not Your mother's Rules is probably my all time number one. Ellen Fein and Sherry Schneider.
In terms of dating gurus I ONLY trust Susan winter. She's an older woman, just watch one or two videos to understand why she's so fabulous. No games, no bullshit, great energy.
I also like the spiritual content by Abraham Hicks on YouTube.
I don't trust any male dating coach.
Understand that the YouTube content and the websites are MONETIZED and many capitalize off of women's insecurity and obsession.
once Matthew hussy told a story about how he told a woman after a few dates "I'm not looking for anything serious". She immediately deprioritized him and he said himself he started missing the attention and called her up and said "I'm sorry, I'm not sure why I said that. Will you be my girlfriend"
Why would I trust a dating coach who is so wishy washy? He's a millionaire from these women watching and reading his content.
I don't know about them. Chances are you would be better served listening to the FDS podcast, female dating gurus suggested around FDS, and men who cut ZERO slack for abuse like Lundy Bancroft, Gavin de Becker, and Jon Uhler.
Mark Rosenfeld looks like an ick just looking at him 🤮 I didn't know who he was, just saw Australian (which I am) and was curious lol. But from the looks of that I do not care what he has to say.
Male dating coaches are scammy anyway. If this forum opened your eyes about Matthew Hussy, I think the reasoning applies to them all across the board, honestly. Men are only out to help each other with this stuff.
I do think rather than focusing on dating, I think as a woman we’re better off focusing on bettering ourselves and enjoying life and being invited to date by HVM. I don’t think we get much out of trying to play the dating game. I’d say focus on your own growth and success!
I haven't paid for any of their courses because their courses cost way too much money. I did end up buying one of Matt Hussey's books off Amazon for $3. It was meh.
