Considering time is linear, I'm unsure of how this asshole expects his wife to forever remain "the same person he married" in addition to all the comments already made about this scrote likely not owning a mirror.
I see this with so many elderly couples. I don't think I have ever seen an old lady who isn't at least trying to look decent when she goes out in public despite her age while their husbands could usually be mistaken for homeless men. And at least a homeless man has an excuse to look (and smell...) like this.
My grandmother died when she was 95. She had beginning dementia and a multitude of other health problems and had to wear a diaper by the end but you bet that she insisted on putting on a fresh blouse, doing her hair or wearing a hat/bonnet, wearing her jewellery and perfume and looking decent whenever she was expecting visitors, doesn't matter if it was family, friends, the doctor, a delivery person or the gardener.
Yup, you could be describing my late 99yo wheelchair bound great grandmother as well. Even in a nursing home, she refused to let them cut her long beautiful hair and insisted on maintaining and braiding it nicely. Women seem to care about themselves until the end where the "letting themselves go" is male projection.
I've noticed that too. Older women will get their hair done, wear nice jewellery and present themselves well. Men don't care. They all look like drowned rats
Yeah, and I bet his octogenarian ass wasn’t the same young man she’d married, but she had realistic expectations and understood the concept of human aging.
I could understand if she was suffering from Alzheimer's I could see how that could be hard on a spouse to see your partner turn into someone you don't even recognize... But this isn't what he's talking about.
