Just going to say it, he wasn't acting like a victim. It's well documented that victims can and do get misidentified as an aggressor in DV cases when they defend themselves.
A reminder to never be with someone much older. He could treat you like a princess one day and a whore the next and the society will turn a blind eye to it. Women get together with much older men usually because they want to be well taken care of. But that can change in a split second.
