ever noticed that when a man commits violence against a woman, media make it seem like it's an isolated thing and men screech NAMALT from a distance? But when it's a man having some achievement, men all of a sudden screech that it is their achievement? Like... so many kiss ass to Elon, Johnny, Leo and Brad but when it's disclosed that their hero was an abuser, they start mansplaining how it's "not all men" or they do not trash their whole achievements because of "a stupid mistake". (but women are all grouped and blamed for "a stupid mistake").

When a woman commits a crimes, like Eileen Wournos, all women suffer the consequences, they are villanized and attacked. The media is laser-focused on generalizing abusive & criminal things some woman commit, while they isolate & individualize men who do the same. 1 woman going bad suddenly affects all women. 1 men going bad is... just another day and we are desensitized to their violence and even learn to minimize it. we are practically obliged by patriarchy not to paint a man's character as bad just because of 1 incident. "he was a rapist and a murderer in his youth" - oh but that was in the past, right? o_O like WTF? Exactly. Men see themselves and operate as a collective. I have to admit, I was not impressed with the two women I found out my NVM ex cheated on me with. Mostly because they both met me several times both before and after the cheating happened and neither ever bothered to tell me that he was hitting on and then sleeping with them. If the first one had the decency to do so after he broke it off with her, the second wouldn't have happened and I would have been spared seven years of abuse due to his "guilt" over it.

But at the end of the day, he still bears 90% of the responsibility. Their 10% is them not saying "no" when they knew he was in a closed marriage and then not telling me. I just cut the two of them off once I found out, whereas I did what I could to rake him over the coals legally and financially.

It's really telling how much society lives to hate on women considering the amount of hate she is getting while Johnny Depp who has a known reputation for violence and lying about it/ or paying off people to keep quiet about it seems to get a free pass no matter what he does.
