I don't even know if this is allowed (a repost) but I'm going for it. This thread is from a popular UK mum's forum and falls under their very busy 'relationships' section:
In short, this thread and SO many like it are the perfect example of how women in domestic set ups with scrotes are told the burden falls to them to keep the relationship bus on the road.
The tldr; woman married to a man who it appears she vetted highly. Now she is a stay at home parent, the husband ignores her pleas to bond/pull his weight/give her attention and ruthlessly pursues his own hobbies at her expense. Overwhelming feedback from posters? 'CoMmUNIcaTE WoMAN' 'tell him how you FeEL'.
Argh it makes my core shake with rage! How are some women *so* conditioned to accept absolute shit on a stick and be happy with it, just because there's a scrote in their lives and he does the school run once in a blue moon?!
The happy update (I think) is that the original poster did leave her husband. Even then someone waded in with 'but what if you're making a mistake'. Ahhh man. It's dire.
I need to wean myself off this website as I have been on the receiving end of vitriol previously from its posters but I do dip into the relationship thread to see what the score is. It's so often a shit heap of strategically incompetent men, abusers, feckless types and affairs. I know it's rare for someone to post about a dream HV relationship but I look at threads like this and I want to weep for straight womankind. This is what so many women are accepting and later questioning.
Does it stir the same reaction in anyone else?
I feel badly for this woman. She said in her original post that she was thinking about divorce, and so many other women still tried to tell her to just talk about it with him... "communicate!!". If a woman is thinking about divorce THERE IS A REASON WHY and there is probably a whole lot more she's not saying in the mumsnet post that is making her consider it as a viable option.
It makes me so angry that men choose to stop trying after the kids are born. I think many of them think that now that she's burdened with a child, she will never leave. They think they have it in the bag.
Some of the posters seemed aware of this and were telling the OP to just end it. I have some hope that women are starting to realize that they can't change their scrote's behavior with just words... they need consequences to actually change.
I want to weep for everyone. Society is in decline/collapse. It is going to take a major awakening to reverse what’s happening. 🙏🙏🙏
