i met this man who i think is a genius. i have never read lyrics as good as his. his lyrics are so good it has literally made me question whether he is human or not. But in his latest book, some of his poems are... misogynistic. It shocks me and makes me sad. and CONFUSED. Like, how can a someone who is so clever (he got into harvard) who writes such beautiful poetry about stars, be misogynistic?
they really, really are. women, on the other hand, are f*cking amazing. can we have a moment of silence for how great we are, even as we're all striving to improve ourselves?
Seriously? Some of the best art and books were created by men who were absolute cads. Having a rich imagination does not insulate a man from being LV.
Every society and culture on the planet is misogynistic so men just pick it up. Plus, men invented misogyny because they have womb envy. They know they can’t top women when it comes to usefulness—we are Goddesses, we create life, we propagate the species—so men created misogyny as a way to cope with being less important. Men have physical strength, women have the power to create life, but both sexes are of equal intelligence. Men can’t handle that we have more natural power than they do, and that woman preceded man.

He hid it for a long time, he only dropped the mask when I caught feelings for him. I've met other men since and I've noticed that all of them were misogynistic, some more than others.
Point is, there's no point in idolizing men, I'm not surprised anymore when they turn out to be insecure mentalcels who hate women.
Simple: he doesn’t care. Most men don’t. FDS really enlighten me with this revelation. Think about it… men can be intelligent enough to become doctors, lawyers, astronauts etc etc whatever it may be, but they’re too stupid to be a decent human being? Nah. They know, they just don’t care. They’ve been raised to put themselves first and are severely lacking in basic empathy.
I doubt his work is as perfect as you described. But I'm sure it's perfect to you because you idolized that person for whatever reason. Don't idolize people because it can seriously cloud your judgement. To the point you wouldn't even notice that he was a misogynist all the way.
This man with beautiful words, is he 5’8” 450 pounds, lazy eye, clubbed foot, and crooked teeth, or….?

The best misogynist is an intelligent one. I'd argue that men have to be fairly intelligent to keep women in pick me dystopia
The trick is not to wonder why men do anything. Because then ultimately you're just looking for excuses for their behaviour like 'they had a bad childhood' or 'they just got influenced by the alt-right into shooting that school up'. A normal person, like a woman, has better coping skills than that.
