Either this or a bunch of radfems have infiltrated r/feminism. I don't have Reddit anymore and I definitely haven't been on that sub in a really long time (I think I had gotten banned when I had an account for misandry). I was searching something up about Andrea Dworkin and ended up on a recent post in that sub. I was shocked to see it was recent so I checked out the sub more and the takes we're amazing: anti-porn, saying bad things about liberal feminism and choice feminism. The bar is low but the quality of posts has definitely shifted since the last time I was there.

There are a variety of online spaces that prove there’s going to be an escalating shift in mainstream feminism in the near-future (probably with the advent of the "AI woman"). Even TikTok has posters that have beliefs adjacent to radical feminism.
The “bunch of radfems infiltrating” r/feminism and other spaces are contributing to the exposure of these beliefs and reaching women whose experiences are being validated by other women’s similar/exact experiences, which is feeding the algorithm loop and allowing the rediscovery of feminist literature and discussion to proliferate even past the traditional academic, middle/upper-class, white spaces. Sharing information and educating ourselves with history and critical analysis is vital for any kind of social movement; we’re only *now* seeing it in modern feminist spaces because of women’s rights and livelihoods being increasingly stripped from them in the US, which has the unique position of being the biggest exporter of culture.
We still have a long way to go because most of us still subscribe to patriarchal thinking and practices like beauty standards, makeup and femininity, which inherently caters to men, but the unique combination of dissatisfaction/resentment from the pandemic, fatigue from being used as political scapegoats and anger at being blamed for men’s failures/the incel movement’s rise in popularity creates a landscape where women have no choice but to point the finger back. The main difference between the classes is that we actually have critical thinking skills and understand that we rightfully can and should blame men for society’s degradation. We’re also willing to come together and brainstorm solutions while men are content with watching the world burn.
While they’re distracted with porn and AI, I say we organize and fix society lol.
I taught a feminist philosophy course at a uni once and the zoomers there were far more clued into real, radical feminism than my generation (millennials) is. I gave them an article by Michelle Goldberg that critiques causal sex culture and they adored it. They never read anything like that before and kept asking me for more accessible content like that (which was almost impossible to find).
It's nice to see - I hope their romantic and familial relationships will be more stable than ours down the line, as a result.
I had noticed that as well on the TwoX subreddit! It warms my cold, dead heart to see the women on there fight back against the rest of the man-catering dumpster fire that is reddit. I think TwoX still has a little longer to go, but the messages in the posts and comments are starting to shift towards more radfem beliefs and I love to see that kind of change happen right before my eyes!
Yes please, it cannot come fast enough. In my country, liberal feminism has just begun. Yesterday I was driving home and I was happy to catch an interview on the radio to a feminist art historian. She praised the first female separatist collective of our country, then she had to add: "Of course this is old news and passè. We have processed radical feminism, digested it, internalized it, now it's the time for queer feminism and smashing the gender binary".
And I was like...
Internalized separatism? WHEN?? WHERE?? 🤣 I only know women including feminist who pander to men and have zero awareness of their condition. It's like radical feminist never happened, how can it be passè?? It will take like 200 years before people internalize radical feminism FOR REAL. The truth is we aren't old news. We're too ahead of the times.
..unless you go to reddit
there you see women that say "my husband rapes and beats me everyday, what can I do to make this relationship better?please don't suggest divorce, we have 2 houses and 5 kids"
I was banned from that sub for saying men should pay for dates. And the mod responded, "Enough of this FDS BS." Then banned me.
I have "infiltrated" that sub recently and was pleased with the positive engagement I got there.
