The Democrats, once the staunchest defenders of women's rights, have morphed into the biggest betrayers of our rights. I still find it hard to comprehend this. Big money interests have bought the complicity of the Democrats. The old Democratic Party no longer exists.
Not really the staunchest defenders. They were the only defenders and only committed as far as it got them our votes. They could have done more for us but ultimately they are still a bunch of white men playing power games with our lives. They just pretend to share power outside their white male dominated circles.
THIS. Where is the ERA, anortion rights, VAWA? Neither political party cares about women - they only care about lining their pockets with lobbyist money. And votes they get from pretending to give a sh*t
