Depp’s History of Being Abusive Confirmed by Many Exes - Yet Society Ignores This and Demonizes Amber Heard

@glacier Agreed! 💯 I am not even convinced all of his supporters truly believe him. I think half of it is just misogynistic abusers and incels who see themselves in him and are determined to support him regardless of any evidence otherwise because it means they can escape accountability too. Each time they bring up the same myths that have already been proven wrong and addressed. The fact that they haven’t even waited for Amber’s witnesses to share anything before making violent memes and mocking videos speaks volumes about their true motives.

@Satur9🐉💜⚔️ It is funny how he claims people threw bottles at him but then it turns out previous exes have accused him of doing exactly that. I feel like he is projecting what he did onto Amber.

I might be wrong but I remember them both accusing each other of putting out cigarettes on each other? But Amber is shown in audio saying “put your cigarettes on someone else” and he doesn’t deny it.

He is also the one who joked about pooping as a prank to scare Amber in text to one of his friends — but then he goes onto accuse Amber of doing this? I was super confused about that. If that accusation is not true, which the UK trial ruled it unlikely Amber did such a thing, the horrific immature hashtags and memes that arose from that accusation (saw a graphic one I reported yesterday) are beyond abusive. He is really trying to humiliate her for getting free of him, which is exactly what narcissists and psychopaths do.

It is scary how much abusers project onto their victims their own deeds. I wouldn’t put it past him.

@Satur9🐉💜⚔️ Exactly. The fact that they have kids together makes the potential for retaliation for speaking out worse in her mind and he is clearly a vindictive rageful person. For all we know she was half relieved when he finally left even though I know it is also traumatic. My first thought was she wants to be able to protect her children and also not be smeared by him, financially provide for her kids and she likely suffered under him and was conditioned for way longer to take the abuse or face the consequences. Johnny allowed his daughter as a teen to be groomed by a man in his twenties similar to the way he groomed Winona. His parenting is clearly problematic and even his own daughter has lamented his drug issues. Perhaps in her mind this is her only route for protecting herself and her kids. The fact that she doesn’t wish to speak out against him does not mean that he is innocent. It’s just one example out of many of how people on his team or his loved ones rely on him financially or do not want to be smeared/blacklisted by speaking out.

@FancyFascinator I’ve read it! I love how it dispels common myths about abusers, like the idea that they are out of control when in fact they are not. I am not sure if this was in Lundy or Robert Hare’s book or both but I remember them mentioning how abusers can also deliberately use substances just so they can have permission to “rage” and have an excuse to act out their aggression on others without accountability. This is what seems to be the case for Johnny IMO.

I was just writing a long reply that coincidentally was mentioning his drug use too!! lost it but rewriting again. Everyone wants to paint him as a soft little boy saint but my sense is that he at times deliberately abuses substances to have an excuse for his behavior. He knows exactly how violent he gets during his blackouts (some of which he claims not to remember but who knows) yet he still abuses drugs and is blaming others for his own behavior. Sometimes abusers will deliberately abuse substances to have a justification for acting out their true desires. Even his own daughter has been affected by it and says Amber was a good influence on him. Amber helped with his detox and talked about how she would take his boots off. Anyone who’s been with an abuser who is also an addict knows this type of codependent relationship very well.

@CarnelianCat It’s sickening that the truth has been hidden and buried under viral posts of misinformation slandering the actual victim. These myth busting threads and insights from actual researchers/doctors who specialize in DV are providing much needed clarity yet people are still everywhere repeating the myths. People are just running with whatever misogynistic post they see and not taking the time to do any research because it serves their own agendas. I notice when myths are spreading like wildfire and going viral no one really bothers to reply to fact check, likely because they’re afraid they’ll get harassed and stalked by these insane Depp supporters. So many videos from the trial and sound bites of her actually confronting him on assaulting her actually support what Amber says yet I rarely see these videos go viral or be shared.

@Vanessa Mercury Exactly, well said - I am very concerned at the consequences this trial will have for domestic violence survivors. This case has been haunting me because of all the public backlash and brutal misogynistic bullying she’s received when she’s done everything to provide evidence- 300 pages of it in the past. All she wanted if I am not mistaken was for him to leave her alone and not take this to trial. She even made the sexual assault part confidential in the previous trial so it’s not like she was even revealing that yet people are hellbent on saying horrific victim shaming things and mocking her testimony, one she never wanted to give and had to relive — sexual assault victims everywhere are seeing that same mockery and feeling that they too will not be believed. I have a feeling many abusers are thrilled and are the ones behind the pro-Depp accounts cheering because they’ve also been slammed with restraining orders for being abusive and see themselves in Johnny. They see his trial as a way to gaslight the public and have support for their own transgressions. It’s sickening. 🤢 And all the PickMes with narcissistic traits themselves are doing the most to impress these weirdos while throwing other innocent women under the bus. Some are putting on makeup in viral tweets to mimic Amber’s bruises or comparing their own DV experiences to hers. It has gone beyond the point of insanity and is so harmful to so many women.

I can practically see these scrotes frothing at the mouth with glee knowing all they have to do is claim their victim was the abuser and drop Depp’s name as “proof.” Men have already tried to file claims against the women who got restraining orders against them. I believe Manson just started on one too even though he’s a known abuser. Depp is literally a poster child for out of control violent and aggressive behavior and has a long history of it but you wouldn’t know it by the number of men and women thirsting over him. I personally do not get the appeal at all and the women on TikTok making weird sexual videos while listening to Amber’s sexual assault testimony are the real reason victims aren’t believed. Amber isn’t the problem here, they are.
