Republicans are attacking the right to contraception and no fault divorce and they don't even have the house yet. Also girls, please check out project 2025 and tell me what you think about it.
Right wing men are a fucking nightmare. I'm glad she said it.
Because what I see a lot more of is women (formerly) on the left saying that aCsHuLlY right wing men are so much less sexist than left wing men. Or repeating some cringe-ass cliches about how "at least you know what you're getting with a conservative guy; liberal guys disguise their misogyny". Oh what fucking ever. It's a weird sort of edginess that (formerly) liberal women engage in, and it's so stupid.
Men of all political persuasions are nightmares, and thats all there is to it. Liberal and formerly liberal women simping for right wing men have lost their goddamn minds.
But at the very least, sex equality is a liberal value, and we can argue that left wing men should be held to that standard. They'll fail, but at least there's a standard.
I just wish we could vote for causes instead of people/parties.
With political parties there will always be parts of their programs I don't agree with at all but will have to vote for anyway because they are the least terrible among several bad options.
Why can't we vote on the big, nationwide issues (like abortion, immigration, laws regarding the environment, healthcare, pensions, worker's rights etc.) directly and the government will be forced to make whatever was decided happen? That's democracy.
Not some bullshit "If you are pro-choice and for environmental protection you have to vote for a package of stuff that contains these points but also a ton of things you don't agree with at all. And surprise: it can totally happen that the party will fight for the issues you don't agree with instead of the issues you actually voted for them for, so you won't even get these".
I believe that may be the difference between 'direct democracy' and 'representative democracy', or something like that. I haven;t studied/analysed them directly (ha - a pun) but probably cons and pros to either/both.

I love how these spaces are suddenly platforming Lauren Southern as she moves from her alt-right racist grift, to her trad-wife grift, to her new radfem grift. Gross, silly, predictable and sad.
I am not sure about that. She is clearly frustrated with the treatment woman are receiving on the right but to say that she has become a feminist or even a radical feminist is a bit of a stretch.
Idk what these women expected when they joined the barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen team, did they expect these men not to hold deep contempt for women ?
Lauren is such a misguided person. Unfortunately she had to learn the hard way what lies behind the "benevolent sexism" she was seeking. It is so sad to see her making videos on the internet to this day talking about how feminism has ruined her life because "she will never know if that is what got her to where she is". Mam it absolutely is what got you the ability to have a job, bank account, a voice, a platform, a right to vote...
Misogyny is a problem everywhere, in all political parties. But in the US, it’s proudly & aggressively women-hating on the right.
Sadly, The left is no friend to women, either. Hopefully this will be the start of women waking up everywhere and creating their own parties.
