I just realized that Bruce Willis was 42 in The Fifth Element, while Milla Jovovich was 19. So gross. Can you think of any other "cult" movie beloved by everyone with a huge age gap?

It's more interesting to dive into why there are so many movies with these themes. It comes back to who is making the movies. Who writes it, who produces it and where do they get their money from? Who wants this to be the norm? Old scrotes.
Hollywood is full of rapist, pedophiles and abusers protected by either their fame or their money. Nobody cares. They watch it anyway. But don't you dare misgender a mentally ill 28 old year man.
Fuck that shit. Read The Power by Naomi Alderman, watch the show Normal people that shows the truth about BDSM or go for a walk in nature. Stop giving attention to scrotey movies made for pedoscrotes.
So many linguistic gems here- pedoscrote is my favorite! But yeah, the men who could not get laid in high school RUN Hollywood. If they had had normal healthy dating lives in high school and college they would not be obsessed with girls that just turned 18.
The only reason these men get women now is money and power but without it they would live sexless existences. And it brainwashes young men to think that they too can be ugly, have terrible personalities and that women will be lined up to be with them. It really is making men delusional. On par with how romantic comedies delude women into pick me behavior. (Although 100 percent of women I know can discern that romantic comedies are a guilty pleasure vs a template for reality.)
When we watch these movies, we are watching the fantasies of men who live in a forever arrested development.

There are literal movies out there about 12 year old prostitutes or a 12 year old girl "seducing" a middle aged man because she was acting as a character who pretended to be a child yet is actually an adult woman. They get actual little girls to play these adult ass fucking roles, the age gap where the girl is atleast above 18 is tame compared to what these pedophiles think up of.
In her new documentary Phoenix Rising, Evan Rachel Wood describes her early experiences of having to make out with a 23 year old man when she was 14. I believe that was in the movie Thirteen.
Ugh. One of my favorite movies and shows of all time, the Phantom of the Opera movie had 17-year old Emmy Rossum kiss 30-year old Patrick Wilson and 34-year old Gerard Butler. I used to think this movie was romantic before I found out the age gap of all the actors (who were true to the ages of the original musical characters). Now even though I still like the music, the story just squicks me out 🤢I can never see age gap relationships IRL or in media and not be grossed out ever again.
Even though she is referred to as, “my daughter,” in Interview with The Vampire, and, she was much younger in the book, Kirsten Dunst (she was maybe 12?) had to kiss Brad Pitt on the lips. She said it was gross because his lips were dry. I would think it Uck because kissing on the lips, regardless, let alone a man more than twice your age.Opposite of this, in 1982’s Annie, the girl playing Annie didn’t want to do that scene where she climbed up a ladder and was above a body of water. There was something beneath her that wasn’t safe. Carol Burnette said she wasn’t doing the scene unless something safe was put down beneath the child should she fall.

Cinderella was 14. Prince Charming was…31!! My 13 year old Googled it and I have confirmed. 🤮
Red flag for me when men say that this is one of their favorite films. Marvelous acting by Scarlett for being attracted to Bill Murray. I think he is hilarious but he def doesn't get my panties wet.
