So I'm a receptionist, and half my office tested positive for covid last week between Wed-Friday. I tested positive on Sunday the 11th and texted my boss and HR that I won't be coming in this week, because I was told to quarantine for 5 days. I'll test again this Sunday on the 18th and go back the next day. My boss messaged me this morning and asked how I was doing and that mostly everyone is back and helping out. Then he said if I'm feeling OK, if I'm able to come in because we're now at full staff and everyone has been helping out. It's a small family owned company.
I would love to know what your opinions are based on these texts from this morning. I really don't like that he did that.
as a former receptionist, yes, he definitely was guilting if not trying to make you feel bad about not getting ready to return to work. the "casual" mention of the day being busy was a big sign.
