Feel free to not disclose anything too personal. I just want a sense of the 'jump' you made both financially and in terms of responsibility e.g. 'Based on my history, I had no business applying for this job but I went for it and now I earn 3x the amount'. That kind of thing. It can also be a level-up in terms of benefits rather than salary. Just looking for inspiration before I jump into the deep end...

Quit my job to become a flight attendant. Took a pay cut initially but now make more.
I applied to a job that listed 1-2yrs of experience needed when I only had 6 months and got it. Parlayed that to another opportunity paying almost 30k more after working there for six months. Tech is more than just coding (I have a "soft" undergrad degree in a non-stem field), if you can figure out the basics, learn new software quickly, and more importantly explain what's going in normal people language to technology-illiterate executives, the sky is the limit.
I’m going from higher education administration to nursing. I’ll be going from starting of 20-30k to 50-60k income (depending on location, etc) and I only need a 2 year associate’s degree to begin; that’s far more affordable at my local community college than my four year liberal arts degree. I still need a master’s degree for higher education admin, and I can’t even get a job worthwhile with just my bachelor’s right now. They’re paying $18 hourly for admission advisors in my area 😭. I thought I would enjoy the journey bc I was passionate about my field and what I was doing but after a lot of personal issues during the pandemic I’ve become an entirely different person almost and have a completely different goal for my life. I know the healthcare industry isn’t really any better as far as ethics compared to the education system, but for the *money* vs school/time commitment, I’d rather get an RN license than go to master’s school and get in to even more debt just to get a career I’m no longer passionate in that also won’t be paying nearly as much as it should.
