Circe by Madeline Miller

Late to the party as ever, but an incredible read, would highly highly recommend! I rarely read fiction and I finished this book in a day, it was that good. Recurring themes surrounding the base dishonesty/cruelty of men (and their pickme ass handmaidens of the patriarchy), the isolation of being an unadored child, and women discovering their own power (and using it unapologetically). If you're into greek mythology, have ever read the book Goddesses in Everywoman, or played the game Hades, this would be right up your alley! Supposedly HBO is developing this into a miniseries, hope they keep true to feminist nature of the story but knowing them.....doubtful. Still, it is a genuinely great story and it would make an incredible series if done right!
