Social media makes us too accessible to men that we would rarely engage with in person. In an instant, a scrote can message practically any woman he wants. An adult male should not to have the access or ability to message his daughter’s 15 year old friend on a messaging app late at night. I shouldn’t be receiving derogatory messages from a scrote that I haven’t talked to in 10 years. Men shouldn’t be able to send unsolicited dick pics to women and completely invade our boundaries.
Not to mention the access to porn any time they want.
In the 90s, we hid our identity on the internet and never gave out our personal information. People would have to engage in person and there was less depravity. Now it feels like we are public property and anyone can become our stalker.
Giving your number out to a random man from the internet when he asks you out on a walk date? This has got to stop.
I don’t have any social media anymore and I have a dumb phone. If someone is meant to be in my life they’ll be there for a reason. I don’t refuse to engage in mental gymnastics with men via messaging and it’s so peaceful.
I have thought about this alot where there is no such thing has anonymity anymore. You can't disappear anymore. This is a stalkers paradise. I can control it to a degree by never giving out my real number, and setting my social media to private and never friending anyone I have not met IRL. But yeah, it's anxiety producing for me, being so accessible. But then the times I've taken down my social media, my world suddenly becomes scarily small. As a person with no family, being an orphan, I almost have to have social media for my survival. Just to know I am not truly alone.
I deleted Facebook years ago and it was shocking how many acquaintances disappeared forever. I don't even remember their names.
My reasoning was the important people in my life already have my number and email, and everybody else doesn't need easy access to me anyway.
It turned out to be a great decision. I suddenly had my privacy back, along with so much mental bandwidth. There was way too much drama on social media, especially from creepy orbiters (mostly men) knowing my business.
I'm not on any social media nowadays, but it seems to be even worse now.
Men have way too much access to women on every platform -- INCLUDING porn. I truly think if we banned porn, men would improve a lot overnight. Like they're already getting a serious biological fix staring at abuse on a screen. What happens if we remove that?? Many of them will have to act right.

to see the bright side, same goes for them. you can learn a lot about a man based on his social media. the accounts he follows, people he's friends with, stuff he likes. he might reat you like a princess while messaging underage strangers creepy messages.
I just made the decision this year that the only men allowed on my phone are the ones I complain about! I refuse to entertain scrotes through my cell phone. FDS has taught me about being too available at the ripe old age of 42 and I think we should take dating back to old school style like I've BEEN saying.
Didn't Facebook first used to be a site where men could rank women on their attractiveness? I am convinced social media helps men more than it helps women. Like dating apps.
There's just too much access all around. Last year, after over a decade, I rejoined social media. The number of people who have told me I'm too weird because I only add real friends on my IG is hilarious... like why on earth would I add anyone else?!
Apparently cases of rape and sexual assault used to be higher (according to my ex who went to police academy). They said it's lower because of access to porn. I don't know if this is true or not but it's a concerning statement.
I do agree that men have too much access and can basically get what they want without putting in effort or deserving it.
Unfortunately I do worry that if they didn't have easy access to women, they'd do it by force, even more than they already do.
Back in the day, the perverts had to put on a trench coat and stand in the bushes until an unfortunate woman would pass by so he could show her his "wares." Nowadays, the perverts can send their dick picks to a thousand women before they could even put on the trench coat and get out the door. This fact has simply cheapened all male/female interactions and has shown us that given the chance, most males would behave like perverts.
