So, I made a post a few months back about how the bands I listened to growing up had rapists in them, and how I was surprised. I didn't a little more digging, and MOST of the male bands have rapists in them. My original list was:
-NIN
-Marilyn Manson
-Rammstein
-Cake
-Korn
... and a few others. JUST found out, Nick Carter is also a rapist who violently raped an autistic teen (and they want to go on fucking tour like they didn't ruin her life by keeping quiet)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - the fucking lead singer raped a confused 14 year old runaway instead of telling her parents where she was. I know "not all men" was like, glaringly obvious, like not ALL of them can be rapists, but I'm starting to think they actually are all rapists. Like... "yes, all men would rape someone."
3 out of 4 members of rhcp have sexually assaulted someone. the 4th one was a heroin addict that had no time for that i guess..
Dang, I listened to rhcp when there was a classic throw back of the 90's on tv or radio. I had no idea that dude did such a thing. But you know how men in general are, they go after the youngest. Worst of all he should have known better, he got raped himself.. Instead of having more empathy because he went through such horrible thing he becomes a bigger monster.
This is also the reason why I'll never focus on male rape victims as much as female victims because statistics shows that boys who have been raped usually become rapists or pedophiles themselves.
It's more surprising to me how long it takes for this stuff to come out (or I dunno, maybe it shouldn't be). But even 20-25 years ago people who knew Nick Carter all knew he was an ass who would totally do that.
Canadian Queens, anyone remember Hedley? 🤮
Having a bit of power and social clout just unmasks how horrible so many men are. Other rock musicians that are known for s*xual assault or cavorting with underage girls (going back to the classic rock days) are Don Henley, Ted Nugent, Jimmy Page, Ringo Starr, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Bill Wyman, Nikki Sixx, Steven Tyler, and all three Wilson brothers of the Beach Boys. That's not including the ones that cheated on their wives and married/impregnated barely legal women when they were much older.
These are just tidbits I've picked up from light internet reading. If I actually went out of my way to read about the personal lives of famous men, I'm sure there's dirty laundry to be discovered for a huge percentage, if not most, of them.
