I assume they won't understand calm, adult conversations.
I never assume they'll take responsibility for shitty behavior unless absolutely cornered, and they usually don't.
They're the rowdy, psychopathic child that lights the cats tail on fire, and says girls are icky.
So far, I can't keep men away from me, women like me more, and SOME men at least act like they see me as a real person.

I do much the same. Even my dad when he's throwing a fit about having to learn some new technology (you think for a bonafide genius who invented and coded a game back in the mid 80s he'd manage it himself but NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo) I will start to treat like a misbehaving child.
It's very satisfying to say 'does somebody need a timeout?' in the warden voice and watch them glitch out and then reset.
I just ignore them, just as effective. I don't need to smell the foul odor coming out of their yap.
