Long story short matched on OLD last week. He wanted to meet but I was heading out of the city for a few days and then he flew out for the week. Now obv we don't know each other lol. We did exchange numbers and the convo stopped as he let me know he landed and hope he sees me when he's back and a little inside joke lol. I replied nicely but not overly excited, just business casual . Now I don't know when he's back and I don't really care as we are strangers. However this got me thinking in general, would you like to keep in contact with a man in a situation like this? I don't want or need constant communication with a stranger, and at the same time it does feel weird to have the convo just die out. I've had men who still kept in contact before going out just to keep the momentum going ect.
Thoughts?
If he's really interested, he'll initiate something. Until then, don't give any more of your bandwidth. You don't even know this man well enough to be wondering about him.
" would you like to keep in contact with a man in a situation like this?"
No. Since you haven't met this man, you don't really know him. Texting constantly can create false chemistry.
...so there actually isn't any meeting? Naaaaah sis.
He "hopes" that he sees you when he's back 🤡 Also inside jokes before you've even met (!) is a red flag. He's creating false intimacy and he sounds like a player. See how he framed that sentence? He used the verb hope like this meeting is out of his control and his hands are tied. LMAO. If he really wanted to see you he'd already have made plans. Nope nope nopeeeee, ditch him.
You've never met him. Don't chat to men you've never met - it's a waste of your time.
A simple rule of thumb: If he leaves you confused or second-guessing your interactions with him, block n delete. Men who are serious about you never leave you confused. Only toxic men do that.
The ball is in his court. If he doesn't reach out to schedule a date within a week then you block and delete him.
