Hi, I'm worried about how this post will look.
First of all, I'm going to acknowledge that I think some of the most beautiful or famous women have actually had brown eyes: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Keira Knightley, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Bridget Bardot, Julia Roberts, Audrey Hepburn, etc. If I were looking for women, I wouldn't care at all about eye color, but there is something I've "struggled" with forever - the rare occasions that I find a man sexually desirable (or desirable enough to get me aroused), they almost always happen to have blue eyes. Hair color tends to be irrevelant for me if the eyes are blue (although I think darker hair is more attractive on a blue-eyed man). This can be the case either in real life or "reel" life. I like to think of my man has having "piercing blue eyes" and if the man has brown eyes, there's really nothing I can say to describe his eyes per se even if he's very handsome. Some people like to say "I love his dark eyes" but that statement doesn't come naturally to me. I'm not saying that I can't fall in love with a man who has brown eyes though - (it's hard enough for me to find men attractive, so therefore the probability of actually falling in love with man is extremely low if not zero, almost). Should I worry about the eye color of the man? Brown eyes on men don't interest me that much. It's not the end of the world though, but I can't ever tell myself "Oh I'm so captivated by his piercing eyes" when they're not blue. I'm just talking about the men - on women somehow, I think brown eyes are wonderful. But I'm not looking for women.
It’s ok to have whatever physical standards you want to have. If you can’t find a man attractive enough to date if he doesn’t have blue eyes, then date only men with blue eyes. You should find your partner very attractive :)
There's nothing wrong with having a preference. Most people can't control what they are attracted to, so if you only find specific types of men appealing, there's no point in pursuing anyone else if they aren't attractive to you. I personally only date blondes with blue eyes, because I find them most appealing aesthetically. Thankfully here they are as common as mud. Sometimes I've got weird looks or been called a hypocrite because I'm neither blonde nor do I have blue eyes myself (I have light auburn hair and green eyes lmao).
Your preferences are valid. If you believe that this preference is not serving you, then you can take steps to change it.
Many times our preferences are shaped by what we see around us, movies, white beauty standards, etc.
Taking a trip to a country where people rarely have blue eyes may change your preference. I'm in Costa Rica on vacation now, and the men here are quite attractive. Lots of hazel eyes.
FDS encourages you to honor your preferences and attractions!
I have fair features and I’ve always been attracted to the polarity of a man with dark hair and dark eyes. I tried dating blond/blue-eyed men but felt lukewarm. So I set aside the blonds and found myself a dark and handsome man, who loves *my* blue eyes 🙋🏻♂️💁♀️
Yeah same here all the men I dated have coloured eyes it’s just my preference and nothing wrong with that 🥰
Chica, don't ever apologize for the way you love your partners to look. YOU are the one dating these dudes so YOUR preference is the only one that matters. Arousal, sexual chemistry, and desire are HUGE when it comes to relationships so if you're aroused by blue eyes then date the men with piercing blue eyes. What one woman likes on here will differ woman to woman. I prefer a man that looks something like Jai Courtney, Nicholas Hoult, or Theo James, which my dating history reflects, but I know for a fact other women find these men to be uglier than all hell. If you like blue eyes then so be it! You aren't missing anything by having standards and following your desires. In fact, settling for a guy with brown eyes will only make you unhappy and unfulfilled.
Anyway, I'm adding a pic of Nicholas Hoult just cuz god he's so hot and he has the definition of piercing blue eyes. Ugh. 😍
I love dark eyes.
On a white guy with dark hair especially.
It's okay to have preferences. I used to think I only like blonde hair, blue eyed men. Then I turned into a teen and was banned from talking about Severus Snape with my mom, because I fucking overloaded her.
Well, not like THEM, but how they look
