Growing up it was always a choice to date or not to date, have a bf or don't have a bf. (I know it still is, no one can force anyone to date) but it's increasingly becoming men / society in general blaming women for the state of the world? Oh the world is crumbling because the single wahmen that doesn't want to be bothered with men is secretly pining for ThunderChad but it's really just I don't want to be bothered by men?
It's like my choice to be childfree, I grew up being drilled into my head that being a parent is awful. My parents were horrible people I don't think they had issues with the kids because they could neglect and forget us, they were having a blast. At school, being a parent is the worst thing that can happen and I agree. I personally told myself in my head I wasn't going to date until I was older because at home was very misogynistic and hated women having a bf. It was seen as a chore, a job, you have to cook and clean for a bf like it 's a pet. I do not want a pet.
But as a grown woman, now we see people blaming CF and women with no kids plummeting the birth rates but it's not OUR responsibility to owe the world a kid. It's simply been a choice not to pop a kid out into this world. And it just so happens millions of other women experienced the same or closely the same things I did that came to this conclusion.
So why is dating no longer seen as a choice but rather a stance to blame women for the current state of the world? Especially men going crazy they don't have a dating life.
Short answer: Biological creature carrying out its biological program.
Deep dive answer:
They've been blaming everything on women since they invented Adam and Eve and probably quite long leading up to that, so why would they stop now that the threat of their own extinction is staring them right in the face? It's just an old rusty tool in their little toolbox.
Hear me when I say this: All males but especially males with no access to higher thought or purpose are slaves to their biology which screams to every cell in them: propagate this rapidly decaying Y chromosome strain or die (KILL?!) trying. Everything else revolves around this task. Taking it away from them is literal violence because it IS an existential threat in their paradigm. If that sounds extreme or dramatic, just look at the wild animals from whence the Y chromosome came.
Do they not routinely go against what you would assume is the most primary biological desire, to survive, and rather risk getting torn to shreds by other males, for even potential access to pussy? Yet strangely, these animals having no earthly idea of what a "birth rate" is, compulsively risk it all to mate again, and again, and again. These men recieving the same agressive genetic instructions simply want to do it like they do on the discovery channel, but will backwards reason their ass off to appear civilized and rational while often genuinely believing their own bullshit.
As the most important thing for males in life, not just men, males have a developed a whole arsenal of mating strategies rotated and recycled since before the first creature ever slid out of the primordial ocean. And that arsenal ranges from brute force to the most subtle (or not so subtle in this case) emotional manipulation.
They claim this is about the importance of birth rates but try a fun experiment to observe this backwards reasoning fall apart: 1a) Ask these same men if they are as concerned about climate change, forever chemicals, nuclear war, or total economic and/or biospheric collapse affecting the birth rates.1b) in the unlikely event they express genuine concern, take note of how many times in the past years they have they discussed those issues in depth with friends/family/ on a podcast, in forums, or on social media unprompted. 2) Ask them why plummeting birth rates are bad. The answer is likely to fall into one of the following categories; a) sky daddy b) the highly irrational assumption that anything less than 8 billion people is guaranteed human extinction or c) it will have to do with the money system, economies, supply chain, basically nothing whatsoever about actual life and living, and everything to do with being enough fucking cogs in a whacked out crazy world to continue uninterrupted.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
