The other comments here are 100% correct most of the time but I have found that *sometimes*, the reason they’re delaying asking you out is this: They either don’t look like their photos or they’re very socially awkward or creepy in person. These men get the “Sorry, didn’t feel a connection” message after every first date. A lot of men think that if they manage to build a connection with you over texting (impossible) that you will overlook how disappointed you are with them when you finally meet and maybe for once they will get a second date.
This has happened to me several times. I wasted weeks of my time texting, he FINALLY asked me out, and then the second I meet him I think “OH! So THAT’S why you were so hesitant to let me meet you.”
There’s never a good reason for a man to delay asking you for an actual date, or at least a phone call. After 3-5 days of nothing but texting I unmatch now.
