Neither can Kamala protect them. This is not within the scope of power of the presidency. Nor would we want the federal government involved in our reproduction rights. Two years ago a law was passed that pushed those decisions onto individual states. Then those individual states decided how they wanted to deal with abortion. That law is not going to be changed. Not with Trump and not with Kamala. Right now both sides have a slice of the pie. Pro-lifers got some states to have stricter laws and other states have still follow Roe V Wade. This is how it is, and this is how it will remain. Trump cannot push a federal wide ban on abortion. Kamala also cannot push a federal non-ban on abortion. For those of you on the fence for whom to vote for, Trump cannot and will not take your abortion rights away. That was already done under the Biden/Harris administration.

It will be challenged in the S.C. by the states, certainly, but a measure can be passed in the meantime. Trump along with the Republicans (and his Veep pick) have an agenda to take far more than our abortion/healthcare rights away. Let's be honest here, far more than abortion rights were taken away; even pro-life women have been impacted when attempting to start families and experiencing the heart-wrenching realities of miscarrying and pregnancies gone wrong. We need access to reproductive healthcare because not every pregnancy emergency is an elective abortion as politicians want us to believe.
Your right is a secret vote, and none of us have the right to tell you how to vote or why. That is your right and your decision. I am not telling you how or if to vote. But, do be informed. I am definitely dumber for having read this.
I have some immediate interests of my own. Even if there were nothing else wrong with Trump (that's an IF, lol), I almost lost my health insurance because of his attempts to "improve" Obamacare. A federal judge struck that down and I got it back, but I really need my insurance right now and I feel a far lesser chance of losing that insurance under KH then DT. I'm not a single issue voter but I want to look out for myself.
I'm going to try and do something new and take abortion out of the equation. Heck, I'm going to take even Trump out of the equation. I'm going to focus on JD Vance. People who are like him and practically all the church-going men who voted for him (I go to church too and am petrified of anyone at church finding out I voted KH - I hope I can keep mum about it) will adopt Vance's antagonistic mentality against single, childless women. I'm not a single-issue voter but if anyone had one issue not to vote Trump for, it's actually JD Vance. The latter is going to the guy who runs in 2028. Before anyone says "No one is going to vote for him the way they voted Trump" - - they already HAVE, de-facto. He did a pretty smooth job at the VP debate over Tim Walz and that may have been what grabbed people. Don't the voters know that Vance is what they'll get when Trump is over? Maybe they do, but they don't care.
I just wanted to add that I know today is a painful, emotional, and pivotal day for everyone but especially WOMEN across the U.S.
