Okay so I just want to start by acknowledging that this is a good "problem" to have and I am so grateful to have female friends who have so much integrity and character. That being said, I do sometimes almost wish I had kept a pickme friend or two because, as I date new men, I wonder how they would react to pickmes. I feel like it could be a great test.
My ex (the father of my son) acted so inappropriately towards any other woman who paid him even the slightest bit of attention, and the more of a pickme she was, the worse he behaved. It's weird, it's like there's this unspoken thing, like they can just sense that energy from each other. But nowadays, all my female friends are so amazing and have so much integrity that even the dumbest of scrotes I'm dating likely wouldn't even try to flirt with them in front of me. Again, because even though they are beautiful women, scrotes can immediately sense whether or not a woman is down to do the pickme song and dance with him.
But I have one particular guy I'm currently dating in mind, and I do like him so far, but I can't help but wonder how he would act in the presence of a certain kind of woman, if you know what I mean. Honestly I'm kind of fantasizing about what it would be like to see my partner shut that pickme behavior down because I've never experienced that before 😭 as always, thanks for listening, gals.
There will be opportunities!!
Once I was briefly starting to date this guy and we were hanging out a lot. We walk into a coffee shop where the woman has always been a total B to me for no reason. I can be friendly and smile but she just doesn’t like the way my face looks of something
Then I come in one time with this guy. And EVERYTHING changes, her entire persona changes, she’s looking at me in the eye, speaking to me decent, giving me good service.
I went to my table and said omg that barista is always typically such a bitch to me. Wtf
And
This guy
This guy I was crazy about
Boy did he take this and run
He started chatting her up as soon as I used the restroom, deep eye contact and even mentioning the color of his eyes like the… oceannn yesss
It was so hilariously bad dead give away red flag. And when I called him out he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Double whammy.
We walked to the beach and I left him without a ride home.
A+ for the asshole
Early on in my relationship with my ex-boyfriend we were at an event where people were sat at big tables. There was a single woman on our table and she set her eyes on him. He was polite but refused to be drawn in. I always liked that about him.
You don't need to be friends with them. They'll appear.
"You can flirt with my man. If he flirts back, he's yours".
