So my cousin sent out her bridal shower invites months ago along with a save the date card. Her bridal shower was beautiful, my mother and I went a few weeks ago in April. Today, my cousin sends me a text with an image of her wedding invitation saying "Hey girl! I ran out of invitations my bad but wanted to send you this! Would love to see you there!"
Uh.... what? Aren't wedding invitations supposed to be sent out months prior to the ceremony/reception? I feel so disrespected to the point that I don't even want to go anymore. Am I tripping over this?
Did you get a save the date but no invitation? That's weird. If you got a save the date, maybe she really did run out of invitations. That is still pretty weird though. You're clear to crash the wedding either way.
Wait how will she incorporate you into a seating chart. This is shady.
Do you want to feud with your cousin, or do you want to have a good relationship with her despite the fact that she doesnt have the best invitation etiquette in the world? I think youre being too senstitive about a small faux pas that wasnt done with any malice whatsoever. Nobody is perfect. Cut her some slack.
That is weird, but then you got the real invite. So go to the wedding.
Would you regret not going?
