A friend of mine invited me to our local, big venue casino for a male strip show. Specifically it's Australia's Thunder From Down Under.
I don't know how comfortable I feel attending. I'm against going to female strip shows.
What are your thoughts on male strip shows?
I went once with a girl I used to know because it was her birthday and she really wanted to check out a male strip club. I will be honest, I was so out of place and felt very wrong being there. It was disgusting and I didn’t even want to sit down. A lot of the male strippers tried to flirt with me and wanted me to get a dance and I kept saying no. It was filthy and filled with trashy people. The women there were just .. so thirsty. Idk how they will let a man who god knows how many people he slept with, touch them, dance so closely to them and even dingle his private part right in their faces 🤮 🤢 I felt like wanting to puke. I didn’t last 20 mins and had to leave. Classy high value women wouldn’t go to such places in my opinion.
I'm also uncomfortable with the idea. I told a couple of friends recently, that if I were to get married and my husband had strippers at his bachelor's party, I would divorce him the next day. They were both upset with me, saying that what if they had male strippers at their Bachelorette? I honestly could not be bothered to pay for a naked man to gyrate near me. A man needs to take me on many dinners before that is considered, why would I pay for it?
Personally I’m not a fan and don’t think it’s in good taste, some part of me thinks it supports the porn industry one way or another. My other HV friend who was invited to one went because it was for a close family’s hens , however she made it very clear the whole night she was disgusted and begged us never to organise something like that for her in the future lol
Honestly I'm not morally against male strip shows, because I don't think men are being trafficked into sex industry like women, imo there are so many nuances and differences between women and men in sex industry. But I wouldn't pay any men to dance for me or fuck me, I wouldn't even give a dime. And I don't think it's classy or hv activity to go to a male strip show. It screams "thirsty"
I think they’re lame and the least sexy thing out there, but I also know they’re incredibly awkward unless you’re a creep. Basically, it draws in the same creepy crowd as the people who watch women strip. The only reason I know is cuz my sister went to what was advertised as a ladies night at a bar with her friends and now husband thinking ladies got free drinks, nope, it was male strippers. She’s a lot more open minded than me and she wasn’t turned on at all. It was incredibly awkward and they laughed all night at how utterly ridiculous and weird it was. She also said the only people really into it were old ladies who kept paying to get these much younger, hotter men to gyrate on em. Imo, I’d rather go watch the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur. Fire, sword fighting, more fire, rippling pectorals, and the men are SO sexy. Love love love. And the food was great.
I'm against it -- I feel uncomfortable even watching male strip shows when they're in sit-coms or Love Island type reality TV.
But my sexuality is entirely contingent on my partner feeling genuine desire for me. I kind of lack imagination in that respect.
In the 80s and 90s I was so hot for Prince I'd practically pass out whenever his songs played, but if I tried to envision him having sex with me rather than say, Apollonia, I'd get dry as the Sahara. My fantasies have to be at least remotely plausible.
I will never completely understand wanting to have sex with someone you are reasonably sure won't feel the same.
If a really close female friend wanted to see male strippers before getting married. I certainly wouldn't judge hear for engaging in one evening of silliness but there is no scenario where I wouldn't ruin it if I tagged along, since I don't find party hats with fake penis projections remotely amusing.
Also, in terms of eroticism, men who perform in classical ballet are infinitely better physical specimens Ballet is extremely sensual and more in line with my idea of rapture.
I think it might be a fun experience as long as the men don't get naked or touch you. If magic Mike is anything to go off, it might be a little bit fun to see men prostrating themselves and begging for cash. It's empowerment after all isn't it 🤷♀️🤣🤣 I would maybe do it once just for the hell of it
I'm not as opposed to the idea of male strip shows as female strip shows.
Though from FDSQueen's description, it sounds like a terrible experience.
Okay, this makes me think of one time a long while back, when Abercrombie & Fitch opened a new store in my city, they decided to promote it with a bus full of shirtless men. Some women in town had a great time having their pictures taken with these models.
The local scrotes had a collective conniption.
I didn't go check out the man-candy bus, but I said to these scrotes "there's women hired to parade around half-naked at so many events. And here you are freaking out over the one time there are men hired to parade around half-naked."
In short, I'm not mad at attractive men being put on display because stuff like this makes scrotes lose their shit. 😆
Edited to say "attractive men" instead of "attractive half-naked men" in the last paragraph, since we are on the topic of a strip show, I guess they would be fully naked.
I've seen the Chippendales and magic Mike and it was a lot of fun. They gave us fake money to throw around lol. The dancers came around and gave lap dances. I felt so awkward and i didnt touch, but they looked good af and did a great job 🤣. The performances are pretty good in my opinion and they put on a real show. My friend even got a pic with Tyson Beckford. I think it's a way different experience than going to a basic strip club where they repeat the same five moves and are aggressively dancing for tips. And the ones at the strip club look like butterfaces ngl. Cute faces are basically guaranteed with the professional productions. Unpopular opinion, but I actually love burlesque shows too. I was invited to one this week, and I had an amazing time. The ladies were gorgeous and the performances were on point. They even had a woman give a lil opera performance while she did the burlesque part 😍. It looks like a lot of fun, I'll probably take a class when I have time.
I went to a male revue show at a super-small, intimate spot and had the best time of my entire life. I had VIP tickets that included a seat next to the stage and a complementary bottle of champagne. I was invited on stage and won the game I played. I got a couple of lap dances, which were actually pretty awesome. Afterward, I had dinner with the dancers, who were all very lovely young men. I connected with one and we hung out afterwards. It was so much FUN!
I guess it depends on the vibe, but I personally found it incredibly refreshing after a lifetime of men treating me like a piece of meat. Others may disagree, but I’m all about the eye-for-an-eye thing.
I recommend you watch Magic Mike (personally I prefer the sequel, Magic Mike XXL because the storyline is better) or the show Finding Magic Mike on HBOMAXX first. See how you feel. Do you feel tingly and excited or icky and gross? That will be your tell.
From what I have seen in movies, all that male strippers do is put on some groovy music and do suggestive moves. Whereas, women strip shows have full, love porn. Also female customers don't coerce. And male strippers' are not permanently scarred (if not ruined) just because they were strippers once.
I don’t know if it’s something I would do, personally, or if I have a moral objection since, as other have said, it’s different than women strippers (aside from being a germaphobe lol). But, what I do know is that because we don’t have dicks and can’t get off from a lap dance (basically fucking with clothes on) it’s not the same.
I go there and laugh. They are just guys with speedos on.
Most aren't even as attractive as the average tinder match one can get.
I think its just funny.
Lots of gay guys flock there though.
Nothing thirsty about it for me personally. Its more to laugh in ridicule and bond with other girls.
