I have never had issues with this, I'm quite bubbly, but I've gotten rusty. This was my go to approach when it came to getting guys to like me. It wasn't like I had to get them to like me but, it was more like them thinking they liked me first. It's been years since I've done this because I never really found anyone attractive, but things have changed. I've lost touch with the game. Need your help ladies.

Internalize that you are not the pursuer. You let him pursue you. If he doesn't, he's not interested. You don't go out of your way to get a man to like you.
I think if you're looking for a HVM you shouldn't approach it like this. Either he likes you or he doesn't, and there's nothing you can do to speed up the process. You can signal your availability but that's as far as your should take it. There's nothing technically wrong with a guy knowing you like him first, as long as he knows your interest is entirely conditional and can be withdrawn any time he doesn't measure up.
FDS is not about getting a guy to like you. It's teaching us to understand he either does or doesn't and to respond accordingly and let him reveal himself
Listen to the FDS podcast episode on Flirting Strategies (it has those words in the title). Great tips there.
I don't know how you know this guy but here's my basic advice: - follow each other on (public) socials. If you have a private don't let him in until he's vetted well. Post light hearted, fun aspects of your interests and cute, casual selfies like OOTD's or lunch to your stories/snaps/things that will get deleted in 24 hours types of things. Something I did was post an occasional meme that made it obvious I was single and ready to mingle - keep conversations to common/public areas and don't seek private conversations/private places to talk until he asks you out - be visibly busy. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. This doesn't mean be cold and "hard to get" just show you have better things to do than wait for him to talk to you and you have friends and family you'd rather hang out with than some dude
There is no point flirting I don’t think It ever serves the woman well. He either is interested or not.
