How can I tell if the gifts given by a guy are real?

I'm not saying you should but verifying means nothing unless every member on here does at least a voice chat where they need to say the time and date to confirm it's a real woman behind the account.

It's the internet. People are going to pretend to be whatever they want to be online.

I don't live in the West so getting valuable items insured isn't really a thing here (maybe except if you are really rich and I am not that rich).

This. Or even go to a (halfway reputable) pawn shop. People there will always weigh the item and check if the stones are real before making an offer.

If it's solid gold, platinum or silver and you own a decent scale you can also weigh it and do the math yourself. It's also pretty easy to check if pearls and certain stones are real (and not plastic/glass) yourself. Just google it. It's something every person who loves thrift shops should know ;) The same goes for fur, wool or leather.

Go to a jewelry shop where they sell Diamonds, ask them if it's real. I did the same thing once. A dude said he's giving a real golden bracelet so I went to the gold smith to check it out.

It was real and there were also cases where the gifts aren't real gold.
