It would be cool if we could have access to the subreddit again for like 1 or 2 weeks just to be able to put all of our saved posts in a safe place 💖💖💖 that would be perfect
Yeah exactly.. what is the reasoning behind it being indefinitely private? It does not make any sense to me whatsoever.

Are you aware that every click, comment and post you make on Reddit allows Reddit to literally profit from ad dollars, Reddit gold and public shares (IPO), and the executives turn a blind eye to underage, incest, abuse and rape footage "porn"? Like they have hundreds and hundreds of subreddits dedicated to degrading, violently abusing girls and women to the point of crying and vomit, rape, CSAM, Incest? You want those people to make more money?

I want more publicity for women. Even if it's on reddit. We live in a men world we can't escape them, but we can make sure that our voices are heard. Many of us found fds on reddit while still being in abusive relationships or a pickme. And it really helped that we could see a different perspective now it is not available and many of women will never find fds. That's a huge loss.
Yeah even though reddit is owned by abusive men, that’s just the world we live in, unfortunately. Abusive men own pretty much everything. We line their pockets when we buy groceries, use social media of any kind, shop online, fill up our cars at the pump, pay taxes, and breathe 🤷♀️ so I don’t think it’s a good enough argument to stop doing something, since it can be applied to anything…

They covered this in the Twitter space. It is privated indefinitely. They mentioned that in the podcast today as well. You can find a link to the old handbook archive in my bio. If you have great posts, maybe you can recreate then for the new website

What is the point of reopening? Just recreate the posts here. User traffic to Reddit allows them to sell ad space, get Reddit gold purchases and IPO. in other words us being on Reddit directly continues money to the pockets of men executives who literally turn a blind eye to the underage, incest, abuse and rape porn overflowing out of their website.
Reopening for maybe just 1 week, so everyone has time to archive their saved posts would be amazing. I’d love to recreate my saved posts on here, but I can’t do that if I don’t remember what they were.

Is it possible that the mods themselves compile the good posts into an updated handbook given that the handbook was made in 2020? We would love to do it ourselves and we understand the rationale for taking the subreddit private - if there’s some way we could all get access to the top posts in the past 2 years, it’ll be great. One of the sisters here said it right - we can’t recreate the posts here if we don’t remember what they are.
I really wish we had gotten a heads up so we all could have backed up our favorite posts.. Years of liking and saving posts I'll never see again. :( Hilarious memes, heartfelt rants, and links to studies and articles I might not be able to find again.

The publicity it created was great though we made the r/all page they were screeching big time
Yeah, I have been on a long, hard journey with fds and some of those post had a lot of emotional value attached to them/post I wrote myself. Please help us out, mods ❤️
Same here. Doing some research it looks like there are already multiple apps that allow you to see original posts, text, and comments when they are deleted if you have a link to the webpage. I am not sure yet if these pre-built apps would work on a private/deleted sub.

Maybe the subreddit could just have a link to our new home, and women who stumble across it on reddit could follow us here?
I copy pasted them into a document. Will share on the forum when I can.
I feel like only flaired people should still have access to the subreddit 😭

Yes! I miss being able to search through posts.

I'm a software developer and would be happy to work with other FDS software enggs and look into ways to use the reddit API to make this happen. ^
Following this. If there's any way to archive the entire subreddit and have it be available for viewing, it's worth looking into.
YES PLEASE!!!!! I have a million saved for when I’m able to actually understand them
