It says the moderators made it private, isn’t this a result from one of the podcast episodes I’m hearing so much about, I haven’t gotten the chance to hear it yet but I sure hope FDS isn’t going anywhere permanently:(

Apparently you can’t have a woman with a different view on the podcast. Some people are acting like they invited a misogynistic redpill manosphere freak on there.
My mother has multiple sclerosis. That’s one of the diseases Rowling mentioned in her essay on this, that she wrote in response to the backlash to her tweet. I *really* believe people misunderstood what Rowling was saying, and what I’m saying. What about domestic violence? I agree with you on sex and gender (worked at Planned Parenthood when I was a teen) but unfortunately most of society does not and I fear will not grasp that. I don’t think FDS has done anything to me except helped me think more critically.
I think part of my issue, too, is that trans women don’t have the ability to carry a baby. That’s a huge part of, and responsibility of, being a woman. The fact that they don’t have to deal with the choice or anti-choice discussion is infuriating, frankly. So you get to have all the fun parts of being a woman, but none of the serious responsibility? Trans women are a caricature of women. Just like drag queens and drag is abhorrent and disrespectful toward women. It’s the most extreme version of femininity they can portray — garish makeup and mega-implant size boobs. I think these are points worthy of respectful discussion, but it’s getting out of the respect zone here, so I’m gonna quit on this thread.
She kind of WAS a red pill manosphere freak (she still uses that language & didn't walk back her "men lead women follow" comment). Also: as a "gold star Republican" we can thank Elle & women like her for why 13 yr olds who are impregnated by being raped by their LITERAL fathers - can't have a legal abortion on Texas. That's a little more than a "difference of opinion" if this is a Feminist space - & I sincerely hope this comment doesn't get deleted since I am not attacking the hosts: I hope they take this criticism to heart for what it is, regroup & restrategize.
