So a homeless guy was sitting in the couch of my lobby when I walked in tonight after the gym. He kept shouting 'do you want some? Let me come up with you!' As I was waiting for the elevator. I didn't say anything and when I got into the elevator and as the door was closing, this POS reaches his hand in the elevator and the door reopens. I immediately went into a rage and told him back the f*ck off or I'm calling the cops and gave him the angriest look possible. He got scared and ran out of the building. Ladies if a man ever tries to rape you or get inside the elevator and you don't have any weapons on you like I didn't try not to freeze or fawn and instead try to look as mean and angry and shout as loud as you can. These cowards don't want any smoke or women to put up a fight. I'm still shaking as I write this as somehow God must've intervened as it could have gone a lot worse than it did.

That's terrifying! I'm glad you're okay! You did well to fight the panic. It's so hard not to freeze. After a couple or incidents where I understandably froze, it's easier to force myself to act. My voice just gets really hoarse though, and doesnt project well.
In my city, homeless men are given too many passes where women's safety is concerned. It's shocking that he was actually inside your building. This needs to be reported and dealt with! What on earth?!
I was having a walk and a dude came walking next to me, and he said "I want to come home with you"
I just ignored and walked faster, I went to a restaurant and waited until the coast was clear to go.
There was also another time where a man said that I was beautiful, I made the mistake by saying thank you and he asked if I wanted to enter his car and I said no, he became Irate in a split second and even wanted to get from his car to cross the street, He though his behavior would make me freeze but I ran into a bakery and told the staff what happened and they said get behind the counter and if he comes here we'll beat him. I saw him coming and when he saw the furious looks on the men's face he ceased his plans and left. Yet ppl wonder why I want a society free from men.
so scary! glad you’re okay and that you were able to fend him off.
treat men like bears, ladies: make yourself look big and make lots of noise!
I'm so sorry that happened to you in your own fucking building where you live!!! Wow, I would be livid with management. Agree with everyone here to make sure to file a written police report and complaint to the landlord; sue their asses if another homeless person bothers you in the lobby (or even right now lol)!
I'm glad you're okay though, and you were able to scare him away. Still, WTF... terrifying.
I'm so proud of you and your active, righteous anger. You've inspired me to make a post about this sort of thing.... Off to write it now!
Scary as hell. I carry a taser. It’s in the bottom of my purse tho and I often forget to arm it when I’m in sketchy situations. I have to do better. Glad you’re ok.
