Are all the good men taken by a certain age?

In my 30s, I now assume that any nice-seeming man who is still single is an LVM. A lot of women remain single out of choice but men are usually looking for a woman to latch onto. So if he's still alone at 30, it rings alarm bells to me. He should have had plenty of chances to court, propose to and marry a woman by then. If you're my age or older, are you also suspicious of single men? Do you think there's an age where no good men are left, or do you cut them some slack because they may be divorced, etc?

Maybe I have a different understanding of cougar, but I thought it was just a woman who dates people younger than her. She doesn't chase any of them or just have 1 night stands with them or pay for any of their stuff/dates. Keep the same standards for men regardless of age. Don't make allowances for them just 'cause they're not as well established yet.

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't rule out men younger than you if they have their shit together and are high value, just like you would expect of men your own age. Don't tolerate immaturity, lack of funds, unstable job, failure to launch, etc. No excuses, no matter their age.
