Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of leaving my abusive NVM, and I'm looking for suggestions for how to celebrate or reflect on the past year. It's calling for rain tomorrow, so my initial plan outdoors was cancelled. I live in a small town with not much to do & only a few places where I could eat out - any idea about what sorts of things could I do at home or with a friend?

I celebrate my breakupiversary every year with cake, a special meal and bubbly.
If you enjoy cooking, try making a full balanced warm and fulfilling meal for yourself, order in a bottle of wine or any beverage or your choice (more satisfying if home made) and try a new recipe for dessert! With some good music or podcast.
If you enjoy the view of rain from your window, do have your meal while facing the window. Definitely without any screentime and with or without music/podcast if you like.
Follow it up with a hot cup of herbal tea which will not only aid digestion but also work as a perfect finish for your palate.
The satisfaction and happiness felt by enjoying the result of that is on a different level ❤️ mainly because your NVM would never have allowed something so beautiful for yourself.
What did you end up doing?
It will be two years of me being single this December. I was still messed up last year to think of celebrating. But I'd like to do something special this year.
I don’t really have a suggestion. Just wanted to come here and say congrats! It’s big milestone for you. I didn’t even think about celebrating the breakup with my LVM a couple of years ago… Queens like yourself are truely inspiration today..
