Another entry to our Scrotes of History series! Savannah recounts the long sordid scrote history of one of the most famous american political families, The Kennedys.
I loved this episode. So much has been written about the Kennedys but you NAILED it with this podcast... and the comparisons with the British Royal Family I think are completely justified; entitled and unempathetic to the core...
I really enjoyed this episode. My anatomy professor is listening to an audiobook by the Kennedy’s and she told us about Rosemary Kennedy. Apparently, when she was being born the doctor told the midwife to hold her in the birth canal because he was busy doing a c-section. Hospitals do not get paid for the birth if the mother delivers without the doctor, so they held the baby in for 2 hours. This permanently damaged Rosemary and she had the mental capacity of a 3rd grader. So it was nothing but scrotery that destroyed her life from the beginning. If I was her mother I would have kicked that midwife clean across the room and delivered my baby. What the actual fuck?
I didn't think I'd enjoy this ep as much I did! I'm another dumb American who didn't know 80% of the history in this ep. Love how the hosts keep it digestible and interesting, even when I assume the topic would be "boring".
Great episode! Love this scrotes of history series. I never knew this about any of the Kennedy's. Can I recommend doing an episode on Natalie Wood? From being exploited by her family for money to Frank Sinatra grooming her as a child to her husband cheating on her with men and denying it to this day to her "mysterious" death during which time her husband has no alliby for a 2 hour window to the Hollywood money thrown at the coverup... men just kept shitting on her, her whole life. I think the world needs a scrotological assessment of this.
